June Foundation Presidents Message

A Time of New Beginnings

The month of June is often a season of new beginnings—marked by meaningful graduations, joyful weddings, and exciting new chapters. I’m delighted to share that this June brings new beginnings both for me and for Henry Mayo.

Next week, I will retire from my roles as President of the Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital Foundation and Vice President of Marketing and Communications. As I begin this new chapter of life, I do so with deep gratitude for the opportunity to have served this remarkable community. I am also thrilled to announce Renee Leon as the Foundation’s new leader. I am confident she will guide the organization with vision, passion, and dedication well into the future.

As I reflect on my career in the Santa Clarita Valley, I am filled with appreciation for the people who make this community so special. Through philanthropic support, community advocacy, business leadership, and personal friendships, your generosity and partnership have made my work at Henry Mayo both meaningful and rewarding.

All of us at the Foundation are deeply grateful for the support we receive from our community. Your generosity enables us to meet the needs of our patients through state-of-the-art equipment, innovative programs, and essential services, while ensuring that Henry Mayo remains well positioned to provide exceptional care for generations to come.

Thank you for your connection to our hospital and for the many ways you have supported us—and me—over the years. While I may be retiring from my professional role, my commitment to Henry Mayo and our community remains strong. I will continue to be a proud supporter, and I look forward to cheering on Renee and the entire Foundation team as they build on our shared success.

With heartfelt gratitude,

Marlee
