March Foundation President's Message

It's been said that: "A good doctor treats the disease, a great doctor treats the patient who has the disease."

March is a month designated to honor our physicians and the impact they have on their patients.  National Doctor's Day, celebrated on March 30, is an official day of recognition of the devotion, skill and commitment of the more than 1 million physicians in our country. Initiated in 1933, It has grown into a beloved tradition of expressing gratitude to doctors. Across the nation and internationally, healthcare organizations salute their practitioners in special ways.

At Henry Mayo, we celebrate the over 600 doctors who are part of our care team throughout the year. In March however, we solicit and encourage special tributes from patients who choose to honor their doctor while also investing in critical patient care programs. The heartfelt sentiments we receive are truly appreciated by the physicians and reinforce that they indeed respected and appreciated for their work.
