Our healthcare heroes are individuals that went above and beyond in caring for their patients.

It has been said, “Volunteers are love in motion!” In the month of April, we celebrate all of our wonderful volunteers at Henry Mayo. Over 300 individuals—along with dozens of pets—support our hospital by assisting various clinical units and hospital departments, greeting and guiding visitors, providing shuttle services, checking in on patients, assisting with spiritual care, staffing our gift shop, and leading popular programs such as pet and music therapy. Volunteers truly make a difference!

National Doctors’ Day is celebrated each year on March 30 to honor physicians for their dedication, expertise, and kindness. Since 1933, this special day has recognized the vital role doctors play in caring for our communities and improving the lives of their patients.

Throughout February, we are reminded to focus on the hearts of the people we love. At Henry Mayo, we care deeply about the hearts of our entire community, and we demonstrate that commitment every day through the excellence of our remarkable team at the Roberta G. Veloz Cardiovascular Services.
