Rene Hughes, a licensed physical therapist for over 25 years, graduated from CSUN with a Bachelor’s degree in Health Science and specialty in Physical Therapy.
She has earned a Mastery Certification in Manual Therapy mastering skills in myofascial trigger point therapy, strain counter strain, muscle energy technique, neural mobilization, and proprioceptive training. Rene has 9 years’ experience in an acute care hospital working with stroke patients, total knee and hip replacements, pain management, and cardiovascular rehabilitation. Rene has over a decade of experience in outpatient orthopedics and provides expert care for all orthopedic and repetitive strain injuries. She has directed an aquatic therapy program working with chronic arthritis and fibromyalgia. Her favorite diagnoses are neck, back, and shoulder injuries. Rene is an all-around athlete who truly loves mountain bike riding and soccer. Her husband plays ice hockey and her daughter is a makeup artist. Rene stays busy; there are plenty of injuries to fix at home as well as at work. You will remember her warm heart and kind smile.English
