Community Cancer Services

Our outstanding Community Cancer Services offers patients care by some of the finest oncology, pathology, surgery, radiology, radiation oncology and medical specialists in the Los Angeles area to provide the most accurate diagnostics available and the latest in interventional treatment.

In addition to a Cancer Registry, Cancer Committee, Cancer Conferences, Social Services, Tobacco Cessation Program and Lung Cancer Screening Program, Henry Mayo’s Cancer services includes:

  • Infusion Therapy - Cancer patients can receive infusion therapy at Henry Mayo. Our nurses are specially trained to meet the needs of cancer patients while admitted to the hospital or through our Outpatient Infusion Center.

  • Cancer Prevention - Henry Mayo offers many types screening services, nutrition and health education classes and community events to increase awareness in the Santa Clarita Valley.

  • Sheila R. Veloz Breast Center - Our Breast Center offers full service breast care including 3D mammography and ultrasound. Our team includes onsite radiologists, highly trained technicians, and breast health nurse navigators to partner with you throughout treatment.

  • Radiation Therapy - City of Hope Santa Clarita Radiation Oncology proudly serves the Santa Clarita Valley community and is conveniently located on the Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital campus. For more information, please click here.

  • Aspiration Biopsy Center - The Aspiration Biopsy Center at Henry Mayo offers Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA) Biopsy of palpable lumps and bumps found in breast, thyroid gland, salivary gland, lymph nodes and soft tissue.   • Community Outreach Events - Henry Mayo is involved with many community events throughout the year that support the mission of our Community Cancer Services.

    • The American Cancer Society Relay For Life

    • National Cancer Survivors Day

    • CARE SCV - Cancer Awareness and Resource Expo where community members can hear lectures from experts in the field of oncology and also learn about resources and support services available in the Santa Clarity Valley.
