Accredited by the American College of Surgeons Commissions on Cancer, our outstanding community Cancer Program offers patients care by some of the finest oncology, pathology, surgery, radiology and medical specialists in the Los Angeles area to provide the most accurate diagnostics available and the latest in interventional treatment.

In addition to a Cancer Registry, Cancer Committee, Cancer Conferences, Social Services and a Tobacco Cessation Program, Henry Mayo’s Cancer Program includes:

  • Cancer Treatment - Cancer patients at Henry Mayo are treated by nursing staff with special training for special needs, such as chemotherapy, oncologic emergencies, and pain control. Ambulatory oncology patients receive outpatient chemotherapy and blood transfusions at the Outpatient Infusion Center.

  • Sheila R. Veloz Breast Center - Cancer detection services by the latest in digital technology for mammograms, highly skilled medical and technical professionals, and input and collegial consultancy from the area's leading oncologists and other medical specialists. Our technologists are highly proficient in ultrasound and stereotactic biopsy procedures.

  • Radiation Therapy - Santa Clarita Radiation Therapy Center, a Vantage Oncology affiliated site, proudly serves the Santa Clarita Valley community and is conveniently situated on the Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital campus. We provide local access to highly-advanced radiation therapy treatments using the TomoTherapy Hi-Art System.   • Aspiration Biopsy Center - The Aspiration Biopsy Center at Henry Mayo offers Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA) Biopsy of palpable lumps and bumps found in breast, thyroid gland, salivary gland, lymph nodes and soft tissue.
