What do I bring to the Hospital? 

For the Mother:
(Label all personal items if possible)

• Insurance card and photo ID

• Loose, comfortable outfit for going home

• Slippers, shoes, and socks

• Toiletries (shampoo, hair brush, hair ties, toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant)

• Cell phone and charger

• Bra or nursing bra

For the Baby:

• Going-home outfit

• Receiving blanket

• Infant car seat (required for discharge)

What is in the Birthing Rooms?

• Private showers

• Birthing balls

• Support bars

Can I take my placenta home?

• Please bring a cooler with you if you plan to take your placenta home.
