Dr. Nariman Nassiri is a board-certified ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained glaucoma specialist with expertise in the medical, laser, and surgical management of glaucoma and complex anterior segment disease. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the Kresge Eye Institute in Detroit, followed by a glaucoma fellowship at the UCLA Doheny Eye Institute in Los Angeles.
Dr. Nassiri has authored and co-authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and abstracts in different ocular conditions, especially glaucoma, ocular drug delivery systems, and innovative surgical techniques. His research interests include metabolomics, genetics and epigenetics in glaucoma, ocular drug delivery systems, and novel approaches to preserving vision in patients with advanced disease.
In addition to his clinical and academic work, Dr. Nassiri is dedicated to community outreach and providing eye care to underserved populations through programs such as the UCLA Mobile Eye Clinic. He is passionate about combining cutting-edge research with compassionate patient care to improve outcomes for individuals affected by glaucoma.
