Justin J. Sherfey, DO

Dr. Sherfey graduated at the top of his class at Western University of Health Sciences and completed a fellowship in Adult Reconstruction and Joint Replacement at the University of Western Ontario in London, Canada. There he worked under two of the best known joint replacement surgeons in the world - Dr. Cecil Rorabeck and Dr. Robert Bourne. Dr. Sherfey is extensively trained in the latest techniques of minimally invasive and computer assisted joint replacement surgery, as well as various alternative replacement options.

Dr. Sherfey also had the opportunity to treat high level professional athletes. He trained under the team physicians in Michigan for the Detroit Red Wings, Detroit Tigers and Detroit Lions. He also trained in Massachusetts under the team physicians for the Boston Celtics and Boston Red Sox.

Dr. Sherfey performs anterior hip replacements and outpatient joint replacements of the hip, knee and shoulder. Using the newest and most innovative muscle sparing techniques and pain control methods, most of Dr. Sherfey’s joint replacement patients go home the same day. Due to his expertise, experience and fellowship training, Dr. Sherfey is referred patients from throughout California with complex issues and cases with complications from previous surgeries.
