Dr. Anirudh Rai joined the Henry Mayo Newhall Primary Care practice when it opened in August 2022, after completing his residency in Family Medicine at Saint Joseph Providence Hospital in Eureka, California. Dr. Rai provides compassionate and personalized medical care to all of his patients. He strongly believes that knowledge is power and that all patients should be fully aware of their health conditions. He works hand-in-hand with his patients to create a plan of action with which they are comfortable, while actively seeking a diagnosis and treatment.
Dr. Rai’s goal is to provide a relaxed and safe environment for patients to discuss their concerns freely and address each of their worries until patients are completely satisfied with all medical explanations. He continues to evolve with the new practices in medicine and brings state-of-the-art treatment options to all of his patients.
Dr. Rai is dedicated to offering a personalized experience to the physician-patient relationship and is focused on building long-term connections with his patients. He specializes in joint injections, trigger point injections, skin excisions and punch biopsies. Dr. Rai is also proficient in ultrasound; he utilizes it in his daily practice to obtain a more thorough diagnosis in the Primary Care setting. He has also completed medical research in the treatment of kidney disease and other medical conditions, including behavioral and psychological treatments.
Dr. Rai accepted a position as Medical Director and Laboratory Director of the Henry Mayo Urgent Care in November of 2023 and provides support to the clinic two days a week. Dr. Rai has been recognized as a HealthCare Hero by a number of patients for making a difference in their overall experience and care and received thanks from grateful patients during Doctor’s Day in 2023 and 2024.
Dr. Rai pursues a wide range of hobbies and interests. He plays the viola, guitar and piano during his free time. He enjoys hiking and boxing, loves to read and spend quality time with his beautiful wife. A native of Los Angeles County, he grew up in the San Fernando Valley and now enjoys caring for the Santa Clarita community.
