Dr. Wang is a board-certified podiatric surgeon and Diplomate of the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery, with certification in both foot surgery and reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery. He previously served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at the Keck School of Medicine of USC. A recognized expert in his field, Dr. Wang is a podiatric consultant for the California Board of Podiatry and a member of the Board of Directors for ASAMI-LE (Association for the Study and Application of the Methods of Ilizarov in the Lower Extremity).
Since 2003, Dr. Wang has co-directed the International Foot and Ankle Symposium on External Fixation in Italy. He has authored numerous journal articles and continues to conduct in-depth research in the field. Widely respected for his innovative surgical techniques, Dr. Wang treats patients from across the U.S. and around the world. His peers regularly seek his expertise for consultation on complex foot and ankle cases, particularly in the areas of external fixation and deformity correction.
Dr. Wang is a frequent national and international lecturer, sharing the advanced techniques he has developed with both podiatric and orthopedic surgeons. He is committed to providing ethical, effective, and patient-centered care for all foot and ankle conditions, with a special focus on sports injuries and deformity correction. Education
Dr. Wang earned dual undergraduate degrees from West Virginia University, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. He went on to complete his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) at the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine.
Dr. Wang is among fewer than 1% of podiatric surgeons nationwide to complete a comprehensive four-year surgical residency in advanced foot and ankle reconstructive surgery. His residency included extensive training in vascular, plastic, and reconstructive surgery. He further advanced his expertise with specialized training in microvascular surgery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
In 2003, Dr. Wang completed a prestigious fellowship in Limb Lengthening and Reconstruction in England, where he received advanced instruction in external fixation techniques.
