National Mental Health Awareness Month Calendar of Events
Every month is mental health month at Henry Mayo. This year more than ever our mental health matters. According to the CDC the COVID-19 pandemic has had a major effect on our lives. Many of us are facing challenges that can be stressful, overwhelming, and cause strong emotions in adults and children. Prior to the pandemic each year millions of Americans faced the reality of living with mental illness. While 1 in 5 people will experience a mental illness during their lifetime, everyone faces challenges in life that can impact their mental health. In celebration of Mental Health Awareness Month, Henry Mayo has a month full, of activities, events and resources to get you involved. Take a look at our calendar below!
Tabling at Valencia Town Center
Saturday, May 1
10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital will kick off Mental Health Awareness Month at the Valencia Town Center Mall from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Come visit our table meet our Behavioral Health staff and find out how you can educate you, your family and friends about mental health. Visitors to our booth can talk directly to our behavioral health staff and learn about resources that are offered by Henry Mayo and for free in our community. Visitors can spin our trivia wheel for a chance to win a prize.
Wear Green for Mental Health

To show your support during Mental Health Awareness Month, we are asking everyone to wear green. Green ribbons, stickers, or bracelet to show colleagues, loved ones or simply those you walk past every day that you care about their mental health.
