Managing Symptoms of Parkinson's with the Alexander Technique

The Alexander Technique is an educational approach to improving functional patterns of movement during everyday activities. The gentle, hands-on approach teaches mindful use of voluntary muscles to improve ease, efficiencey, and confidence in activities of daily living.

Practicing the Alexander Techniques can help people living with Parkinson's by:

  • Learn self-management strategies
  • Calm tremors
  • Move and walk with more ease
  • Improve balance and coordination
  • Increase awareness by recognizing different states of tension and relaxtion
