Understanding Diabetes and Blood Sugar

This class will cover many of the basic concepts one needs to know about diabetes and managing diabetes. You will learn the definition of, types and feelings about diabetes. You will also learn about signs/symptoms of high and low blood sugar as well as the causes. We will discuss the foods that have the biggest impact on blood sugar, medications commonly prescribed for diabetes, learn about the relationship between A1C and blood sugar and how to avoid the long term complications of Diabetes.

Classes facilitated by RD, CDE (Certified Diabetes Educator)
