Hiking and Venomous Snake Bite Prevention and Treatment


This class will focus on hiking tips for the Santa Clarita Valley and surrounding areas and how to prevent and treat venomous snake bites.

Topics will include:

  • What to bring
  • What to wear
  • Preparing for emergencies
  • Facts about venomous snake bites
  • Preventing snake bites
  • Venomous snake bite symptoms
  • First aid for venomous snake bites
  • The “six don’ts”
  • Emergency treatment

We will have a live rattlesnake on hand for display and identification purposes
