86 million Americans have Pre-diabetes - That is 1 out of 3 adults! Of those 86 millions, 9 out of 10 of them do not even know they have it. People are more likely to have Pre-diabetes if they:
- Are 45 years of age or older
- Are overweight
- Have a family history of Type 2 Diabetes
- Are physically active fewer than three times per week
- Have been diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes during pregnancy
