In partnership with Los Angeles County Fire Department, and in an effort to increase emergency responsiveness capabilities, Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital will be the scene of a SIMULATED disaster on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 beginning at 10:00 am.
This simulated exercise is taking place to ensure emergency personnel, first responders and hospital staff are prepared in the event of an actual disaster. The exercise will help all involved become familiar with Henry Mayo's helipad and parking structure and aid in identifying, and addressing any potential challenges unique to the facility.
The emergency exercise will involve four to five fire engines and one engine ladder and should take 1 to 1½ hours to complete.
All roads in and around Henry Mayo will be open; the parking structure will remain accessible as exercise activities will not interfere with normal operations.
If you or your constituents have any questions on this SIMULATED disaster exercise, please contact Katreena Salgado, Henry Mayo's PR Manager at (661) 200-1309
