Telemetry At Henry Mayo: Teamwork And Technology

We're proud of the life-saving technology in our meg surg units. Our state-of-the-art telemetry monitoring equipment measures and transmits accurate, uninterrupted data about a patient's cardiac function to experienced technicians, twenty-four hours a day. But we're even prouder of our physicians, RNs, LVNs, monitor technicians, CNAs, and our interdisciplinary team. Working together, they ensure that patients receive the excellent treatment and support they deserve.

Our telemetry technicians are specifically trained to understand the monitor data and communicate necessary information to nurses and physicians. Our telemetry nurses are specially educated to assess these patients, interpret the monitor data, and respond quickly and professionally to their urgent medical needs.

In addition, our nurses reassure and teach their patients about the monitoring experience and other aspects of their care. They will gladly refer patients to any additional services they may need, including those provided by our chaplain, social workers, or financial counselors. That's because they're not just great nurses, but they're compassionate partners in their patients' recovery.
