Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital will host the 2009 SCV Healthy Baby Expo on Sunday, May 17 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Pavilion Parking Lot on the Hospital campus at 23845 McBean Parkway, Valencia.

The SCV Healthy Baby Expo will provide a day of education and entertainment designed to connect prospective and new parents with doctors in our community. It provides young families an opportunity to learn all about delivering in Valencia - from finding their ideal physician, to enjoying a healthy pregnancy, to the benefits of birthing at Henry Mayo and more.

The Baby Expo will also provide pregnant parents and young families with information about improvements on our maternity unit, our new neonatal Intensive Care Unit and the hospital’s Master Plan, which includes a new hospital wing with private maternity rooms and added operating rooms.

In addition to learning about their community hospital, Santa Clarita Valley families will have the opportunity to learn about resources in the community and learn more about how to have a healthier pregnancy and a happier baby.

At the hospital’s third annual event, the SCV Healthy Baby Expo 2008 attracted more than 700 families, who indulged in a variety of samples and entered into drawings taking place throughout the day and visited with the more than 70 community partners who provided community resource information.

The 2009 SCV Healthy Baby Expo is free and open to the public.
