Good Neighbor Pharmacy Vice President Mike Quick had always been a strong supporter of Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital but it wasn’t until his mother was ill that he truly learned of the staff ‘s devotion first hand.

On Dec. 2, when Quick places the star atop the community tree at Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital, Tuesday Dec. 2, at 3 p.m., he will again show his strong support for the community and the local hospital as he honors his mother, Fern Yost.  

“I wanted to do something to honor my mother and honor her memory,” said Quick, VP of Sales for Good Neighbor Pharmacy. “My mother was a very special person to me and my family and I wanted to do something symbolic of the love she has shown us over the course of her life.”
                               
The star will be placed atop the tree that sits on the front lawn of the hospital grounds in preparation for the 18th Annual Community Tree Lighting, which is free to the public and will take place from 2 to 5 p.m., Dec. 7.
