At Henry Mayo, our nurses and hospital staff want to honor our patients' requests, including specific birth plans. As long as mother's and baby's health is not compromised, with your doctor's permission you can "labor down," delivery in an alternate position, bring a birthing ball, or request anything else that will help provide a more serene and comfortable labor.
We also offer flexible options regarding pain management. Your baby's birth and the first few minutes of life are special moments for a family and we want to do what we can to enhance this experience for you. Please feel free to discuss your written birth plan with your obstetrician and us in advance so that we can do our best to respect it.
OB anesthesia is available 24 hours a day for those mom's who request an epidural to manage their pain.
