Community Tree Lighting Ceremony
This year's Tree Lighting is scheduled for
Sunday, December 2, 2007

Henry Mayo’s annual holiday event provides an opportunity for the community to sponsor a light, star, snowflake and other ornaments to decorate the cedar on the hospital's front lawn in time for the annual Community Tree Lighting Ceremony.

This year, the Major Sponsor of the event is Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital and the Health Foundation Boards of Directors, as a message of appreciation to the California firefighters who so bravely and diligently protected their community during the recent Buckweed and Magic blazes. Firefighters from Santa Clarita Valley Stations 124 and 126 will be recognized during the Community Tree Lighting.

Holiday entertainment, crafts, and visits with Santa are just a few of the events featured for family fun during this free event, which starts at 2 p.m. The tree lighting is at 5 p.m.

Gift of Life
Your sponsorship of a light or ornament on the tree (which can be made in honor of our firefighters or in memory of a loved one) will be inscribed in our keepsake Recognition Book displayed during the Tree Lighting Ceremony and transferred to the hospital lobby for the remainder of the holiday season. In addition, you will receive a commemorative ornament with thanks for your contribution. All donations benefit patient care services at Henry Mayo.
