Hospital Mourns Loss of Dr. Edward Pechter
We are sad to announce the loss of a great physician and Foundation Board member. Edward Pechter, MD passed away on June 16.
Dr. Pechter's 23-year tenure on the Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Health Foundation Board of Directors began in 1987.
His 10-year service as chairman of the Founder's Circle - an annual giving program that encouraged support for Henry Mayo - allowed for many technology upgrades.
Dr. Pechter was a staunch supporter of Henry Mayo's Master Plan and spoke at City Council meetings and to friends, neighbors, and associates about the importance of advancing healthcare in the SCV.
He was proud of his affiliation with the Hospital and the Foundation and they were honored to have been the beneficiary of his tireless support.
To honor the memory of Dr. Pechter, the Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Health Foundation has established the Edward Pechter, MD Memorial Fund to support patient care services at Henry Mayo. A special note will be provided to the family of Dr. Pechter listing the names of those who contributed toward the memorial fund.
