The Education Department is committed to providing educational opportunities to improve skill and knowledge for healthcare professionals in our community.
We welcome all participants to our educational classes.
Vision
The Department of Education will provide an environment where Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital team members, including staff and physicians, can develop the competencies required to become expert practitioners. This will be accomplished through the delivery of high quality education activities incorporating current technology and presented in a variety of learning formats.
Mission
The overall objective of the Department of Education is to facilitate the delivery of high-quality patient care and improved patient outcomes through ongoing educational activities designed to move practitioner competencies from novice to expert. Educational services are based on identified needs of the hospital staff, physicians and volunteers and are congruent with the mission, philosophy and goals of HMNMH as well as individual scopes of practice.

Clinical experience in Medical/Surgical and Oncology Nursing, clinical Education, and Management experience. Current responsibilities include oversight and coordination of planning and implementation of: Continuing Medical Education, Community Education, and Professional Education.

Over 30 years of experience in a variety of nursing disciplines: hospital and collegiate education, leadership, clinical experience in ICU/Emergency Department/Medical/Surgical settings, legal nurse expert and informatics.

Education Specialist
Clinical experience for over twenty years in cardiology, cath lab, emergency medicine and critical care ground transport. Trish is an accomplished leader and administrator with a passion for patient and nursing education. Moved from Ohio to complete consulting roles throughout California and chose Henry Mayo as a permanent home to join the education team.
