American Cancer Society Partnership
Every year, the hospital works hard to build collaborative relationships with organizations who share our mission of improving the health of our community through compassion and excellence in healthcare services.
One of the greatest partnerships we have built in that regard is with the American Cancer Society. Together we host community education, provide free cancer screenings, and offer numerous pieces of literature for healthcare workers and the community.
Doctors and staff members serve on the American Cancer Society's local advisory board and the volunteer president of the SCV Council is a member of our Cancer Committee. They work together to identify community needs and combine our resources to implement programs that benefit the Santa Clarita Valley.
Each year, our ties with the American Cancer Society become closer and this year is no different. We are truly proud to be a presenting sponsor of the Santa Clarita Valley's Relay For Life 2005 for the second year in a row and proud of our continued partnership with the American Cancer Society.
In 2004, after another exciting year of working with the American Cancer Society on a variety of levels, including the lead sponsorship of their two-day survivor celebration called "Relay for Life," we were honored to be the first local recipient of their local Community Partner Award.
