The TomoTherapy Hi●Art® System is only one of 45 in the country. It delivers 360 degrees of targeted radiation treatment using a unique helical design. Radiation can come from all angles instead of only a couple of stationary positions. In order to maintain precision, patients undergo daily CT scans to assure proper positioning.
It is of tremendous benefit in the treatment of many types of cancer, including breast, prostate, lung, head and neck, brain and soft tissue sarcomas.
Radiation Oncologists on staff include: Robert Zimmerman, M.D., Medical Director of Vantage Oncology Santa Clarita Radiation Therapy Center and Co-Chairman of the Henry Mayo Cancer Committee; Linas Kazlausks, M.D.; and Bernard Lewinsky, M.D., F.A.C.R.
Center hours are: 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. M-F for consultation and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. M-F for treatment.
