The Cancer Committee
The second component of the Cancer Program is the Cancer Committee itself. This is a multidisciplinary team made up of a multitude of professionals who care for cancer patients. This includes all types of oncologists – medical, radiation, surgical as well as pathologists, radiologists and often primary care doctors and general surgeons. Staff includes cancer registrar, nursing, hospital administration, social services, dieticians and others. The American Cancer Society is also represented through many of its members.
