The Sheila R. Veloz Breast Imaging Center plays an integral role in meeting Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital's mission to improve the health of our community with compassion and excellence in health care services. An important part of this commitment is the health education we provide to patients, families and those in the community who may one day rely on our services. Your experience in the breast imaging center will include learning about self-examination, local cancer support groups, healthy living, and options for care and treatment.

The Sheila R. Veloz Breast Imaging Center was created by Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital through the experiences of Santa Clarita Valley breast cancer survivors, patients and their families.
Confidence in Breast Cancer Detection
Our expertise in cancer detection services is defined by the latest in digital technology for mammograms, highly skilled medical and technical professionals, and input and collegial consultancy from the area's leading oncologists and other medical specialists. We are fully equipped with two digital mammography machines, and our technologists are highly proficient in ultrasound and stereotactic biopsy procedures. If needed, fine needle aspiration detection services are also made available while you are here.

The breast imaging center is designed with your physical and emotional needs in mind. Professionals at the Sheila R. Veloz Breast Imaging Center continually solicit feedback and recommendations from cancer survivors and family members, from customer service to interior design. The atmosphere is sophisticated, yet comfortable. The environment is peaceful, yet highly attentive to your needs.
Convenience and Assurance
The Sheila R. Veloz Breast Imaging Center aims to improve access to breast imaging services in the Santa Clarita Valley with the specific intent to make it easier and more convenient for women to get their annual mammograms and to reduce the anxiety associated with breast cancer detection. Processing of digital images is faster than conventional film processing and reduces the need for additional appointments and extra mammograms.

Saturday, evening and lunchtime appointments are available to accommodate even the busiest schedules. It's our goal make every visit as easy and convenient as possible, and we encourage everyone who sees us to give us their opinions and talk to us about their needs.

We also provide same day diagnosis whenever we do a diagnostic mammogram, or if requested. It's important to us that we answer all your questions and give solid and complete information about our findings and your options.
